Clayton and Alison Strom have lived in the Ladysmith/Chemainus area for most of their lives. They have three great kids: the older two are currently living their own lives, one finishing their teaching degree, another crafting a music/art/social media career, and the newest addition to their family, Maria Rose, who is currently mastering grade three.

They truly love their community and their Wellness Studio; they hope that you will join them here to explore your own personal yoga practice or alternative therapies for pain and injury.

Alison Green Strom

I have lived most of my life here on Vancouver Island. After many years of academic study, both here in Canada and in Europe, I settled with my family in our little town of Ladysmith which I now proudly call home. I  care about this town and the people in it; nothing brings me greater joy than to have a studio to share a yoga practice with you all.

My personal path to yoga came through injury. After many years of pain from a debilitating back injury, yoga was suggested to begin the healing process. So, I tried it. After my first gentle class, I knew that I had tapped into something truly divine. I found something that I always dreamed was out there: a way to take care of your physical body, your mind, and your soul! I never looked back.

I am a certified RYT 300 hours Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance of Canada.  I have hundreds of hours in subsequent training in Yin Yoga with Bernie Clark and Diana Batts, Kundalini Yoga with Gloria Latham and Back Mitra certification with Sharon Abbodanza.  I am also a certified Pilates teacher with the Physical Mind Institute of Canada.

I am deeply committed to creating a safe atmosphere where students of every level can mindfully challenge themselves and celebrate their unique abilities.
